History

Etac is our original product brand, going back to when the company was formed in 1973 in Sweden. Then called RFSU Rehab, we set out to create a completely new standard for assistive devices to enable more independence for the people who needed them.

In close collaboration with industrial designers, the first launch was a stylish range of daily living aids that soon became renowned for their groundbreaking design. The progress continued with the introduction of bathroom aids, followed by innovative wheelchairs, designed and developed in Anderstorp.

These products keep setting standards today, created with the same dedication to function, form, and user-centred design - and with the product brand Etac as a well-known seal of quality.

Since our company has grown through the addition of more brands, Etac is nowadays both the company name and the product brand for our bathroom aids, manual wheelchairs and daily living aids.
