In air cell cushions, the combination of pressure redistributing qualities and stability has always been a difficult compromise – With StarLock, you can have both.

Vertical Air Cells
Star cushions feature vertical air cell technology designed specifically for individuals at high risk of pressure injuries. Star’s interconnected vertical air cell design ensures internal cell pressures equalise as the user sits in the cushion. The vertical air cell construction also effectively reduces surface tension and enables excellent envelopment.

Pressure Care with Pressure Redistribution and Postural Support
StarLock is the complete cushion solution for pressure care with pressure redistribution, stability and postural support. And it is available in 5, 7.5, 10 and 13 cm cell heights. Whatever the cell height, the sitting height will always be the same. However, the higher the cell, the greater the pressure redistribution.

The 13 cm cell height is unique to StarLock and offers greater immersion and envelopment.

Shaping, Offloading and Stability
The StarLock cushion, with its StarLock Technology, provides the possibility to lock air into each vertical air cell which makes it possible to create a desired shape, offload localised pressure and increase stability, allowing for individualised postural support.

It can be adjusted and reset again and again, making it very flexible over time.

StarLock can also work as a single air chamber cushion allowing individual setup for optimal pressure redistribution.

Material cushion High quality latex free gold coloured Neoprene. Adaptable and flame resistant.

Material cover Top & sides: 83% Rip Stop Nylon (Non absorbent fabric that aids in evaporating moisture) 17% Lycra. Bottom: Woven polyester fabric coated with polyvinyl compound. (Antimicrobial treated to inhibit growth of odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew.) Flame resistant.

Material incontinence cover Top & sides: 78% Nylon 22% Spandex covered with a Polyurethane film. Bottom: Woven polyester fabric coated with polyvinyl compound (see standard cover).

Cleaning - Cushion Hand wash with soap, baking soda or vinegar. For disinfection, use 70% disinfectant solution.
Cleaning - Covers: Machine wash 60°C, no bleach.
