Board visit to Tczew highlights Business Unit Patient Handling
We were honoured to welcome our Board of Directors to our manufacturing site in Tczew, Poland.
The visit focused on Business Unit Patient Handling, which encompasses both our bathroom and patient handling product areas. It was a valuable opportunity to engage in strategic discussions about the unit’s direction, opportunities, and long-term development.
As part of the visit, the Board was also given a guided tour of the factory, led by Michał Rusiecki, Managing Director, Etac Poland. During the tour, we highlighted a major achievement for the site: Tczew is the first manufacturing facility in Poland to be awarded DGNB’s highest level of sustainability certification – Platinum.
The DGNB certification system, developed by the German Sustainable Building Council, is internationally recognised as the global benchmark for sustainable construction. It evaluates buildings based on three equally weighted categories: ecology, economy, and sociocultural impact.
We are proud of this accomplishment and the recognition it brings—not only for our facility, but for the ongoing efforts to align our operations with sustainability best practices.
