Etac acquires Convaid

Etac acquires Convaid Products, Inc., a California US-based manufacturer of custom-made, compact-folding, lightweight, adaptive-assisted wheelchairs.

Etac Group CEO comments on the acquisition:

“Convaid is a very well-known and respected brand, with strengths in design, manufacturing and marketing of pediatric products which fulfill a clear niche in the mobility market. Combined with our existing R82 offering, we strengthen our ability to meet the needs of the pediatric population.”

Convaid and it’s 140 employees will become part of Etac’s Business Unit “Junior”, where Senior VP and CEO of R82 Jan Ellegaard comments:

“We are very pleased to welcome Convaid to our group. With their range of innovative mobility products we complete our existing portfolio. Our combined geographical footprint in North America provides very strong coverage and thus ability to serve customers and end users even better. Internationally, we will leverage the strong R82 distribution network to accelerate the export business of Convaid and provide these fantastic products to more children around the world”.
