Universal Axle Plate

The Universal Axle Plate does it all. Achieve seat-to-floor heights in 1/2" increments and adjust CG over a 3" range. With a more rigid design than its competitors, Catalyst 5 offers the best performing ride in its class.

300 lbs Standard Weight Capacity

Light is great but lighter AND stronger is better. Catalyst 5 has a mere transport weight of 12.8 lbs* and a standard weight of 20.8 lbs. Did we mention it has a 300 lbs standard weight capacity? That makes Catalyst 5 the lightest AND strongest folding wheelchair in the K0005 category.

Depth Adjustable Frame

This rear frame option includes depth adjustability, a fold-down back and up to 32° of angle adjustability.

Seating System Cross Braces

Special cross braces and seat hook supports free up space on the side frame for easy seating system adaptability.

Fixed Front Frame

A stronger and lighter frame design, favored by people who do not need swing away hangers, but still need to fold up their chair.

Super Low Swing Away

Similar to the standard swing away frame, it lowers the overall seat height by 1.5". Ideal for foot propellers. Allows the use of swing away footrests.

Swing Away Frame

The classic front frame design constructed from 7000 series aluminum and with a lifetime warranty. Allows the use of swing away footrests.

Transit

Provides securement points so the chair can be used as a seat in a motor vehicle when used in accordance with the User Instruction Manual.

Titanium Frame Option

Aluminum Cross Brace

The Dual Interlocking Cross Brace design creates a frame that locks together to minimize the unwanted movement, or "front to back" racking, while redistributing loads onto components that can better manage forces.

Titanium Cross Brace

Backrest Options

Half Folding Backrest

Easily fold the back canes down for a more compact package. Height adjustable with multiple push handle options and tension adjustable back upholstery.

Reclining Backrest

Innovative Reclining Back design incorporates an automatic locking feature into the gas spring for a smooth, positive recline motion. Recline angle ranges from 0°-65°. Comes standard with Removable and Adjustable Stroller Handle.

8° Bend Back Posts with Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame for 9", then bends away at an 8° angle before ending with a 90° bend for a push handle. This opens up the back slightly and might be considered a more comfortable seating position.

Straight Back Posts with Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame with a 90° bend at the top for a push handle.

Straight Back Post without Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame, ending at the exact height you choose. The push handle has been removed to create more freedom for shoulder rotation.

Folding Handle Rigidizer Bar

Upholstery

Air Mesh Breathable Cover

A breathable back upholstery cover improves airflow. Available on both standard Velcro adjustable and tension adjustable upholstery. The anti-pilling fabric along the sides improves durability and helps protect from wear when in contact with abrasive surfaces such as Velcro.

Standard Back Upholstery

Uses 1" poly foam with a nylon parapak cloth cover. Very comfortable and shear resistant.

Tension Adjustable

Adjustable straps allow independent support for the pelvis and trunk, improving postural control and alignment.

New strong, light-weight design! The markets favorite T-Arm now flips back! This easily retrofittable Height Adjustable Flip Back T-Arm arm reduces interference on the back canes for less restriction with aftermarket seating. Also available in Tall option.

Height Adjustable Flip Back T-Arm Tall

This easily retrofittable, lightweight design reduces interference on the back canes for less restriction with aftermarket seating. The tall version offers ample surface area above a cushion to provide proper coverage of the client’s body and ensures the transfer tube is easily accessible. Panel and armrest height is increased by 2.5”. Overall height adjustment range of 11"-15”.

Height Adjustable T-Arm

The single post height adjustable arm is easy to release and adjust in height. Lower profile and lighter than competitive models. Available in 8.5"-13.5".

Height Adjustable T-Arm Tall

This easily retrofittable, lightweight design is easy to release and adjust in height. The tall version offers ample surface area above a cushion to provide proper coverage of the client’s body and ensures the transfer tube is easily accessible. Height Adjustable T-Arm Low

Angle Adjustable Locking Extendable Flip Up

This Angle Adjustable Locking Extendable Flip Up armrest is the ONLY cantilever armrest approved to 400 lbs! It locks into position by a spring loaded latch while extending up to 4" in 1" increments and 7 angle adjustments in 5° increments from -5° to 25°. Available with standard and foam pads in desk or full lengths.

Flip Back

This 2-post arm design offers solid support. It flips back out of the way, but keeps the arm on the chair and readily accessible. Easy release armrest.

Swing Away Armrests

Easy to swing away. Easy to remove. The cantilevered arms help to keep your chair light yet provide a solid hold for transfers and weight shifts.

Aluminum Angle Adjustable

Infinite adjustability for more accurate placement of the foot. Aluminum plates have slots for ankle straps and multiple attaching holes.

One Piece Flip Up Angle Adjustable

Solid, angle adjustable, aluminum footplate provides an excellent surface for your feet and increases rigidity at the front.

Mag

Made of a high-quality magnesium alloy, our Maxx Mag wheel design is lighter and more rigid than other mag wheels on the market. Save up to one inch of overall chair width creating better manoeuvrability in doorways and tight spaces.

Colored Mag

Our 5-spoke composite wheel, now available with color options in 20” and 22” sizes, is 20% lighter than the competition and maintenance free. Colors available are Pink, Blue, White and Fluorescent Red.

Maxx with Drum Brake

This hybrid wheel features a hub design with straight pull radial spokes on the outside flange, like most high-end wheelchair wheels. The inside flange has a 2 cross spoke pattern to handle the torque resulting from stopping a larger wheel by the relatively small hub.

Maxx Spoke

The Maxx Spoke high flange hub and eighteen radial spoke design provides increased rigidity and responsiveness. High-quality material construction with a durable black satin finish gives you a look and feel that is anything but standard.

Superlight Spoke

Spoke with One Arm Drive

This standard air tire is more forgiving when going over obstacles and off curbs or stairs.

Pneumatic with Airless Insert

Full Profile Poly

Corded to prevent it from rolling off the wheel. Provides a softer ride than other low cost "over-molded" tires. (3.5 cm)

Sentinel Solid

Schwalbe Marathon Plus Evolution

Top of the class in performance and durability. Non-marking black tire. Has a thin line of gel inside to seal punctures and keep you running. (2.5 cm)

Projection

8 vertical projections, each 1 cm, are plastic coated for individuals with limited grip strength. Available only with full profile tires. Available only with 22"-26" Spoke wheel sizes or Mag wheels.

Plastic Coated

Peel resistant poly coating creates a tacky surface for users with limited hand dexterity. The poly coat will not continue to peel from cuts and nicks caused by everyday use.

Ergo Standard Regular Grip

Wheel Locks

Drum Brake

Acts as a true brake allowing the chair to be slowed as opposed to just locking the wheel.

Hemi Wheel Lock

Hemi Wheel Lock provides a single lever that will operate both wheel locks. Can be ordered set up for Right or Left hand operation, a wheel lock extension handle is included in the price.

Push to Lock Flush Mount

After engagement the lever is flush to the seat. Lever moves out of the way for people who perform lateral seat transfers.

Pull or Push to Lock

After engagement the lever is at 45°. Lever is easily reachable.

Pull or Push with Extensions

For people with limited strength, this design requires very little effort to engage. Removable 6" foldable extension increases leverage.

The wider profile uses molded polyurethane to create a great tire. Hard on the outside for low rolling resistance, soft on the inside for cushioning. Available in 4", 5", 6", 7" and 8".

3.8 cm Poly

The wider profile uses molded polyurethane to create a great tire. Hard on the outside for low rolling resistance, soft on the inside for cushioning. Available in 10 - 15 cm.

2.5 cm Poly Aluminum

Uses a 3-spoke aluminum hub for added strength and styling. Available in 10 and 12.7 cm.

Soft Roll Aluminum

3-Spoke ultralight aluminum hubs, highly resistant, with improved mobility. Available in 3", 4", 5" and 6".

6"x2" Poly

This tire is quite firm with a subtle radius so that it is easy to push on hard surfaces and gives you great flotation on soft or uneven ground.

A Low cost, on-chair option that allows you the ability to achieve up to 88.9 mm of dump!

Standard Caster Housing

Angle adjustable and allows for forward or rearward mount positions in order to optimize chair configuration, minimize wheelbase and accommodate changes to caster, seat heights, etc.

Frog Legs Suspension Fork

Reduce vibration, prevent pitching. Ultra shock absorbing. Not available with Heavy Duty option.

Frog Legs II Suspension System

Constructed from a Carbon composite material which results in a 30% weight reduction over the standard Ultra Sport Fork results in a much smoother ride! This new shock absorbing fork option from Frog Legs is rated up to 300 lbs.

Caster Pin Locks

When engaged, the pin locks prevent casters from rolling during transfers.

Anti-Tippers

Catalyst Rear Anti-Tip

Under any wheel configuration these anti-tips can be positioned for safety without interfering with the caregiver. Locates off the axle assembly.

Swing-In Anti-Tips swing in under the frame so they are there when you need them and gone when you don't. Available in pairs, Left or Right mounting options.
