R82 Scallop: Design for Access and Ability

Keira speaking to the audience at Cooper Hewitt

The Cooper Hewitt ‘Lab: Design Access’ was a programming series that took place in the first two weeks of February 2018 at the New York based museum that featured workshops, film, dance and a showcase of college student designs. The event centerpiece was a symposium, participants included an impressive list of experts and talents with relation to the exhibition opening ‘Access+Ability’ at Cooper Hewitt. Amongst them were our very own R82 Scallop Designer, Keira Gwynn.

Additionally, Ms. Gwynn participated in a review of college student projects on accessibility and inclusion, as part of a panel of experts in the field. Students, representing colleges and universities across the U.S., were invited to present their own proposals for design solutions that improve accessibility or inclusion to the panel.

It is a great honour for Etac to be featured at Cooper Hewitt with the R82 Scallop. To explore the R82 Scallop at Cooper Hewitt, visit the exhibition ‘Access+Ability’ through September 3, 2018.
