Etac SlingOn – originally developed just as the name implies, to support inserting and placing a lifting sling under a patient when lying down. SlingOn allows inserting the sling without rolling the patient, instead the patient can remain in the horizontal position. Slong the way, this aid has developed to a multi-purpose tool that facilitates most everyday horizontal positioning situations. SlingOn consists of 2 of separate ultra low friction nylon sheets, held together by 4 snap-buttons in the corners, and handles along the sides. The buttons supports keeping the sheets in place and the handles provides better and more ergonomic grip.
Placing the lifting sling:
SlingOn is easily placed under the patient by using a simple folding/unfolding technique, starting from either head or foot end. When in place, open the corner-buttons and slide the lifting sling between the 2 separate nylon sheets to required position. Use either the top nylon sheet to adjust position against the sling, or simply slide the sling into correct position, whatever feel easiest. Remove the top nylon sheet before fixing the sling to the lift.
Multi-tool
Using the simple folding/unfolding technique to insert SlingOn under the patient. From here, it can be used for turning and positioning with help of the handles and other supporting products.
