Next is the introductory to the new generation of cross-folding wheelchairs. We have developed a wheelchair that simplifies the assessment pro cedure and thereby assures a better seating comfort for the user – without compromising on the functions.

The new and genious solutions include the built-in shock absorbers which make the stroll on cobbled streets smoother and more pleasant.

No need for multiple adjustments

We don’t compromise when it comes to meeting the user’s need for a stable sitting position and an easily propelled wheelchair.
Next offers all the adjustments that you are used to seeing on an Etac wheelchair, and a few more. You avoid having to align the castor housing, and you don’t need to adjust the wheel locks or the anti-tippers. You can change the seat height in one simple operation.

To make Next even smoother to propel, the wheelchair features shock absorbers as standard. You can also combine 150 mm castors with narrow legrests.

Innovative thinking

This is the clearest way in which we can show you the ingeniousness of Next. We have simply separated the propulsion unit and the seat unit. By putting everything that involves propelling the chair in one place, we can optimise these specific functions. Without having to compromise.
	The major advantage of separating the seat and propelling functions is that the adjustments of each unit do not affect each other. We are sure you will breathe a sigh of relief when we tell you that you will never have to align the castor housing after having adjusted the seat angle.

Details

	This is the bolt that connects the seat and propulsion unit. Here you can choose from five different seat heights with a total difference of 10 cm – and you don’t need to change a single component or make any other adjustment.
	The new hub brake is integrated with the hub casing which means that you don’t have to reset the wheel locks when you change the rear wheel position. And it always works, no matter the type of tyres or tyre pressure. It even brakes and locks if the chair has a punctured tyre.
	The tilters are bulit-in.
	Previously you had to change the castors in order to adjust the height or angle of the seat. Now you select castors according to function. All the castor withstand weights of up to 135 kg, and the holes in the fork are to accommodate the different castor sizes.
	To the untrained eye, it might look as though we have moved back a stage in development by using a single cross construction. The new design incorporating extra thick tubes and two patented rods makes Next stable, easy and comfortable.
	The legrests are lockable and available with either a standard or a narrow knee angle. You can also combine 150 mm castors with the narrow legrests.
	The seat angle is always independent of the chosen seat height. It is easily adjusted by a unique, patent protected rod.
	A shock absorber makes Next stable and smooth to propel.

Standard

	Next is available in two frame lengths. The short version is suitable for users who are up to 175 cm tall. Adjustment of the backrest upholstery also affects the seat depth by 6 cm.
	The backrest angle is set at 0° as standard. It is continuously adjustable from -3º to +9º. When the height has been adjusted, you can easily adjust the angle.
	The footrests are height adjustable and continuously angle-adjustable.
	When the seat is folded out, the seat tubes are safely fixed in cup-shaped attachments to the ends of the frame, thereby providing the chair an extra stability.
	The new wheel lock is integrated with the hub casing, which means that it is always correctly adjusted.
	The push handles are removable and height-adjustable, irrespective of the height of the backrest.
	The backrest height is continuously adjustable from 30 to 45 cm. The five backrest straps and the backrest cover shape the backrest. Don´t forget that adjustment of the backrest upholstery affects the seat depth.
